For nearly 50 years, WorldStrides has been partnering with teachers to create unforgettable learning adventures for students.  On a WorldStrides DiscoverNow! science trip, students see science come alive with the perfect balance of action-packed adventure and hands-on learning. These programs provide a unique platform to showcase nature, physics, and exploration, and for many, inspire future career choices in science.

Florida – Splash into Science or Habitat H₂O
Splash into Science pairs life science lessons with action-packed adventure in Miami and the Florida Keys. Highlights include the chance to swim with dolphins, hike in the Everglades, snorkel in Florida’s own barrier reef, and visit a hospital especially for sea turtles.  Habitat H₂O explores the Gulf Coast of Florida where students swim with manatees, kayak through the mangroves, and snorkel in Rainbow River.  Both programs involve working with wildlife experts in a variety of lab activities.

BCA students have been traveling to Florida over Easter break for over a dozen years to engage in experiential learning with WorldStrides.  They report that this experience has changed their lives! 

I enjoyed snorkeling down Rainbow River because the water was so clear I could see the many varieties of fish!

One of my favorite things was dissecting a shark!  

I had an awesome time in Key West, Florida. We got to swim with manatees!

The Florida trip was awesome! We swam with dolphins, went snorkeling in the Atlantic, and visited a turtle hospital. 

 We collected water samples to study.

It was the most fun and educational trip ever!
